Advances in Cancer Vaccines

Cancer vaccines are a broad type of immunotherapy, aimed at educating a patient’s immune system against the tumor. Suboptimal design of the vaccines and intrinsic barriers, such as a suppressive tumor microenvironment, have limited clinical progress. However, after several decades we now start seeing signs of efficacy and the potential for new developments and combinatorial approaches sparks hope.   This virtual meeting will bring together experts across disciplines to discuss developments in antigen discovery, preclinical vaccine development and clinical advances in cancer vaccine therapy, and reflect on the ongoing challenges and necessities in the field.
